~El Escritor(The Writer in english)~ it's a romance visual novel with a little bit of mystery, suspense and realistic fantasy. You'll be in the skin of Lucas, a guy who has recently moved to the city of Lahmbert searching a new start. However, Destiny has a way of catching up with you, and other plans are being orchestrated for him and the people he's gonna find along the way... And the ones who he left behind.

Lucas starts on the rooftop, his —not so humble, yet amazingly cheap— new apartment. After the first night in the rooftop and meeting his neighbors, there, in the darkest corner, the face of Destiny appears haunting a decision never made, the step never taken... or the one that Lucas actually took. Between dark dreams and a expectant reality, as some may say, expect a roller coaster of emotions. Joy, suspense, melancholy... Emotions at the surface of your skin.

A small story, just like yours or mine, in one of the smallest corners of Lahmbert. 

~This game may contain pictures of explicit GORE, so please, read discreetly. You will find depictions of homosexual relationships, sensitive topics, and pictures that may be considered NSFW (nothing really explicit, but better play safe, that’s why the +18), so, if you’re not comfortable around this stuff, this may not be your kind of visual novel (thanks for visiting anyway ;D)

This VN it’s complete, but it’s going to receive constants updates regarding the translation, art, changing some CGs, replacing music tracks by original ones... This is a “one person” job, so I really appreciate your patience. Game is complete.

LUCAS BAINE, our main character.

A very simple guy with very -not so much- common problems... Well, except for his deadly nightmares. Super sensitive when it comes to catch people's emotions, but struggling with opening up to the ones who really deserve it.

GEORGE BENALI, our... ehem... Love Interest...

Only one? Yes,  but there's a reason for that, don't worry. Some people say "don't judge a book by it's cover", and yeah, it's moment to apply that rule. Is he shy, or he's just uncomfortable? Nobody knows. But this man really is a trunk of surprises... a really big one, isn't it? And a very special one... You'll get to see why.

HAMIL & JENNA JOHNSON, the neighbors.

These lovebirds are meant for each other. He's super hyperactive, and she's calm and a mother for everyone. They and their daughter Alice are a very special family. Caring and loving, you'll see how .

GABY & CHESTER, our friends.

Oil and water, chalk and cheese, apples and oranges... with a little bit of sarcasm and OCD. Your co-workers.  He: order, methodism and cleanliness. She: sushis, sarcasm and CHAOS. LOTS OF CHAOS. You can never know what to expect with those two, but something is certain... They hate each other in a very special way. Not you though, they love you.

MELLIE "MEL" BROWN, your boss.

Don't worry, you're not gonna hate her... I hope... She's actually very nice when she's in a good mood. Owner of the BLACK PAPER publishing house, where Lucas works, and she WON'T give you a heater to your office... Not since Gaby made a mess with Chester's butt...

And finally, but not less important:

DONNALD, your doorman.

He's the best. I mean, really, it's impossible to just not love him. Caring, gentle, funny, a clown sometimes... He's going to become a very important figure in Lucas's life, and soon everyone will see how special his little soul is...

There are still many characters to introduce you, but you'll get the chance to meet them once you see them in the story. And some of them are... more important than you think. So be careful! Maybe one of them is a key to a certain... future...!

IMPORTANT INFO AHEAD: 

---This visual novel has only one love-interest, meaning that there's not other routes where other romances can be pursued. However, your decisions WILL affect your ending. Actually, this story was going to be a book, but I decided to go this way because of the way that music and sound efects improves your reading experience. In summary, this was my way to tell you what for me is a beautiful love story.

---Please, DO NOT use any of the assets of this visual novel in any other game, site, video, etc. 80% of the assets used on this VN were made by me, and this is a free project, I'd like it to remain like this.  Thank you for understanding.

---Why 1G? Isn't it too much? Well... the VN has 211 CGs, 237 backgrounds, 119 music tracks, 122 effect tracks and 8 videos... And if we include the huge amount of sprites (George being the one with the biggest ammount, a total of 324 sprites only for him)... So yeah... Still, I'll try to reduce the size by changing the format of the pics and the sound tracks.
